Nick represents Northern Virginia owners, developers and builders in zoning and land use disputes. His clients engage him when they face contentious matters before legislative bodies, planning commissions, zoning appeal boards and trial and appellate courts.
Nick protects his clients’ property rights from government overreach in matters involving zoning ordinance amendments, zoning determinations, vested rights, special exception permits, rezonings, plan disapprovals, proffers, regulatory takings and inverse condemnation, unconstitutional conditions, piecemeal downzonings and zoning permits.
Previously, Nick was a litigation partner in the Global Commercial Disputes group of Reed Smith LLP, an international law firm.
